Evoking Beauty Through Light Workshops
I am in lust with natural light! I like to keep it simple. When I go to a session it is just me and my camera. Yep that is right. No flash. No reflector. Just me and my Baby (aka Nikon d700). I don’t have a bag full of lenses. I actually only shoot with my 50 1.4 and 85 1.8. Oh of course my Lensbaby Composer when I want to get a little crazy. I am a firm believer that your images must be wow straight out of camera. That Lightroom and Photoshop are used to enhance your image not fix it. The light you see in my images isn’t done in post processing. That is done in camera. I don’t add fake flare. I use the sun to create amazing flare and haze. I want to show other photographers that you shouldn’t fear the sun you should embrace it! That is why I launched Evoking Beauty Through Light Workshops and Mentoring Sessions! I offer 1:1 mentoring (in-person ) and small group 1:6 Photography Natural Light Workshop Sessions in Las Vegas, Nevada. Also a limited number of other locations through out the states (see locations below). If you have a group of 6 photographers wanting a session in your city please email me to schedule. You will be able to ask me all of your questions regarding posing, workflow and shooting techniques. Camera settings, metering, white balance and how to get perfect exposure for amazing SOOC (Straight Out Of Camera) images and the creamy skin tone you see in my images. I’ll show you my techniques in finding amazing natural light, so you can get the same dreamy, airy look in your images. We’ll shoot together and edit together. I will take you step by step through my editing process. Watch how I interact with my clients and posing techniques. You will be able to use all images that you take during the session for your portfolio.
We will be spending about 8 hours together so be prepared for a long fun day of learning and shooting!

3 week online workshop
I have created an online forum for my online workshop attendees. This forum will be your home away from home for the 3 week workshop. This is the perfect option for those that can’t attend an in person workshop! You will create relationships with the other photographers participating in the workshop as well!
You will have shooting and editing assignments through out the 3 weeks. Constructive critique and feedback will be given on each assignment. Not only will you grow from your own images critiques but you will be able to see critique on the other participants images as well!
Videos of my step by step post processing on all different lighting scenarios and my black and white processing. You can watch these videos on your own schedule. Once they are posted they remain up for the rest of the workshop.

My mentoring session with Kelsey Anderson was the single best thing I could do for my business! Most beginners in the photography business think (like I did!) that a better camera and more Photoshop actions will make your images outstanding like the “big” names. Well, I was WRONG! I had admired Kelsey’s work for over a year, and jumped at the chance to be her shadow for a day.
Kelsey arranged two shoots for us with models (based on what I wanted to learn after she had talked with me before our session). She also took several hours to edit side-by-side with me and teach me how to get the “look” I was after. There was not one wasted moment during our mentoring session (which lasted about 10 hours!). I peppered her with business-related questions during our meals together and while we drove around Vegas to our various shoots. She held nothing back and it was entirely refreshing to find a professional in our industry that is willing to help others.

First off, Kelsey I want to thank you for all your time and knowledge that you have put in to this class. I was sort of a workshop junkie for awhile, and took a long break from them since I wasn’t really learning anymore or seeing a difference in my photography.
But NEVER have I known a photographer to be so generous with her talent as you have been. You didn’t hold anything back, and I can definately see growth in my work. ‘Because I am a procrastinator or maybe because I was in denial that this fantastic workshop actually has to end, but here goes…
So I decided that THIS would be the year for me to grow exponentially, and to do that, I knew that I needed to invest on my learning! I was so afraid to hit that “purchase” button!
