It has been a couple of weeks since I posted for the I *heart* Faces weekly contest. This week is hands. I posted this image a while back. It is my little man Hudson. He came and laid in my lap while I was photographing them. This is what my view was of him I love the dimples in his chubby baby hands! Growing up WAY to fast!

I can’t even begin to describe how AMAZING it was to be there for my friend’s husband’s homecoming. I was totally stoked when she asked me to photograph him arriving back home from Afghanistan and very much honored. To be apart of a special moment like this is beyond words! I got texts from many friends on my way down to the airport telling me not to cry… I was pfffft I’m not going to cry… what are they talking about but seeing the anticipation build from the time I stepped foot in their house taking a few shots of them all getting ready to the point when they got word via text that he had landed. Watching their oldest son wait and thinking about him running into his daddy’s arms after being away. The mommy in me started to get a little emotional. Thank goodness for my big ol’ camera to cover my face lol
This moment was so cool! A crowd of strangers circled around this family as they were reunited watching. Some taking pictures with their cells phones, and then they all clapped! Seriously it was just so darn cool!
Here is a slide show of the images I took. There is music so if you are muted turn on your sound
I *heart* these three kids! I could really just chase after them all day with my camera. I am sure they would prefer I didn’t though lol Here are a few I snapped in our backyard and one from the park this morning. I am so happy that my children will have many photos to look at when they are older from their childhood. I only have a few of myself and my husband has one. Sad right! I have Memory Boxs that I keep for each child and I make sure to print out some of these images to put in that box on a regular basis. I also burn them to disc and store most my images with an online storage company. You really can never be to safe right!
